Subject: Recall Parts Return Update

Date: June 19, 2014

In regard to the General Motors requested return of certain parts replaced under Field Actions 13454A, 14063A, 14092, 14113B and 14133B, there was a system issue such that for claims paid only on Monday, June 16, 2014, the warranty claims system did not automatically request these parts be returned to GM. However, these parts must also be returned to GM accordingly. Please package up each part individually with a copy of the repair order paperwork inside and send to the below address:

Attention: Bud Abbott
Warranty Parts Center
45 Northpointe Drive
Orion, MI 48359

A chart explaining the separate part return requests is attached in .xls and .pdf.

Thank you for your continued patience and assistance.

The ignition switch parts return activities are as a result of certain legal preservation issues in legal matters involving the ignition switch recall and it is very important that all GM employees and GM dealers follow the above instructions concerning return of these parts.
The switches need to be packaged and returned separately so they can be tracked to a specific VIN# and repair order.

Is there really a guy named Bud Abbott there?

How about I send it Costello instead

All these recalls....

I just realized....it's a smokescreen to keep us too busy to realize they just stuck us with all those extra RIM parts they shoved in here when they did the stupid SLP program!!

Reading through this and all the other GM rants lately.... I am so glad I got a job with Toyota 18 months ago. We have our share of recalls, don't get me wrong but man... I figured it couldn't get worse than it did between the bankruptcy and killing off dealers, but I was wrong. Good luck guys.
