Posted: Wed Jun 25, 2014 3:59 pmYep, received my first shipment. Sadly, the only dealer around that can cut these is 30 miles away and charges 30.00! I don't have the time nor the personnel to send into town to get keys cut. What a freaking sham!

Posted: Wed Jun 25, 2014 4:08 pmWhat is a fair price to charge another dealer to cut these keys? I am struggling with what to charge, Gen. Mgr. and I disagree. I am looking at like $15.00/key and he is thinking like $35.00. Never know when you need a favor from one of your neighbors, that is what I told him, gotta play nice with others even if the General doesn't.

Posted: Wed Jun 25, 2014 4:27 pmI have always charged other dealers $25 for cutting these keys. Due to the recall we are going to lower it to $18.50, which should work out to about .2 locally.

Charge them whatever sublet will allow - they'll get it back from GM anyway right?

Right now I have not seen an allowance from GM for getting the keys cut. That being said cut keys for a Camaro are $23 more than uncut, so it will be intersting to see what they do.
