We've been experiencing noise in 3 of the last 8 recall steering motors (19257875) we've replaced. Anybody experience anything similar? Service manager thinks I can just call GM and place an RFI order. Try to explain that to an RFI agent.

Got 10 but haven't done one yet. Your comment about the service manager sounds familiar though. I think every dealership employee needs to spend a day in the parts department to see what we do in here all day

Have your techs READ the bulletin about whether to use the seal or not? Just something to look at because not all vehicles use the seal, even though it's in the box, and use of the seal where not required will cause damage to the motor.

Are you guys using 19257875 on the newer recall for the cobalt hhr? I ordered a few of these because someone at qpc said this would be the part number for the recall. We completed two recalls using this part number and the claims were kicked do to wrong part/ part not available.

Just did one here twice for the noisy motor.

The tech said you can feel the difference between the good one and the bad one when you turn the motor by hand.

In other words, you can "Feel the Quality"

$40 core charge for this goes away in August.

I saw that. They're gonna have to issue me a "core devaluation credit" for 54 of these I ordered last week.

Sometimes I don't even feel sorry for 'em.
