DM is circulating this info:

Subject: Used Ignition Switch Housing

The installation of used ignition switch housings whether for ignition switch field actions or other repairs is not allowed. Any dealer which has made a repair for which GM paid must order a new GM housing and replace the part in question. I will be sending specific job card information under separate cover. Any warranty or policy (includes field actions) job card with an open date of August 1, 2014 or later in which a used ignition housing was installed will not be approved and will be debited if found to be paid. Please advise your dealers.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact any of your regional warranty team members at your earliest convenience.

But they've been on backorder since the recalls came out.

We have one sitting here now waiting on a housing. The customer is in an Enterprise car. I've heard a tentative ETA of September. I don't really care if GM wants to pay 4k plus in rental on these stupid crap cars, but I do care how long it is taking to get paid on these rental claims, meanwhile my little store is out thousands of dollars because we can't just pay our bills when we get around to it. They need to hire a few extra bodies to handle these claims. Our warranty rep is way overloaded.
