14350 Recall parts pre-shipment

Postby gully » Fri Aug 29, 2014 7:03 pm

I received my pre-shipment today of the key insert shipped FedEx priority overnight freight. Enough to do ONE vehicle. Guess it isn't as big of a recall as I expected LOL!!!

Same here - And I don't get how they call it a qty of 4. Yes, there's 4 pieces in there but 2 of one half and 2 the other so we can fix 2 keys. Where the hell does 4 come from? It should be billed and sold as 1 kit

Don't forget to bill out all 4 though even though you're only handing out 1 package.

Seriously, we received enough to do 2 keys here today also. I can only imagine that there are hundreds of thousands of these that need to be done. So we are set, we can all do one car. What a deal and don;t forget if you order them they are going to get canceled by GMCCA. Like I said before in a previous post FedEx is going to have one hell of a year, imagine what GM has spent with them on recalls and there same day service shipping expenses. FedEx should have jet with GM Logos on it since the fees paid for at least 1 jet this year. That Great GM Feeling once again!!!!!

Possum: Better save the bag Bubba Gump. Sure enough they will want them shipped to the WPC, one at a time!

Can't do anything without the special glue, gun, etc.

Now that there is a bulletin posted YOU CAN cut replacement keys with the small hole (if available for the car) and get those already sold used cars off your lot instead of waiting for the inserts and glue to show up.

***you will probably have to eat the keys***

NO. And I'm sure we wont get enough or be able to procure locally. We have 19 techs in 3 separate shops and every one will want their own fricken glue. No one will be able to find it or who last had it or let you know when it ran out last week etc etc etc.
