For a very long time we have had an issue with our service department advisors deleting appointments with parts still on it. This is because they are not getting the customers back in, in a decent amount of time and then the part shows +30 days in the system, and then when they delete it, it is because they can not get the customer back and they don't want to worry about it anymore. What we in parts want to know is, is there a way to add a part to an appointment so that the appointment can not be deleted on the service end, we know we have to do some rules and regulations on our end with service but this is just one step and would really appreciate anyones help

It sounds like they have limited parts access in ERA. They cannot delete an appointment unless they remove the part in 2525. Have your controller remove their parts access in ERA.

Would it work if parts are SB on our parts side and they show $0.00 cost?

We just tried it and you cannot delete it whether it is a stock item, SP or SB. So they have access to 2525.

Also make sure none of them have access to 6210, or they will just go in and give themselves back the access the coltroller is taking away.
