Tried to order one yesterday. Bumps up to QTY of five and goes to PLT 88.
Next day (this morning) it goes back to local PDC 086 and shows shipped.
I guess I will see them tommorrow. Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Just trying to figure out what the statement about replacing non-gm keys is based on. I reread the bulletin today and didn't read it that way.

I talked to my rep about what I should do regarding customers coming in with aftermarket keys. Had a customer come in with an old POS Grand Am and a Ziploc bag with FIVE aftermarket keys in it, no OEM. My rep basically said there is no rule set in stone as far as what we should do. He said it is up to our discretion whether or not we cut OEM keys to replace aftermarket ones. Generally, if a customer has come in with one aftermarket and one OEM, I cut an OEM and when the claim rejects I use "service agent self-authorization" for "parts ceiling exceeded". I've had a few where I cut 3 keys to replace a customer's aftermarket keys and have yet to have any issues getting them through with self-authorization.

Here we are cutting replacement OEM keys if they come in with the old cavalier looking keys or the huge flat metal ones. If they are just a black headed OEM looking key that the plugs won't fit in, we use the cover kits instead. We will only fix or deal with 2 keys per car, and if they come in with one key, they can buy a 2nd key or we just do the one they brought. That's all the effort I'm putting into this. This is officially the single most retarded recall in the history of the automotive industry. Idiots with old POS cars with air bag lights on and abs lights on, ses lights on with cavalier keys on an Impala. My favorite is how the uneducated masses can't read english and they think they are getting a new ignition so we have cars coming on the hook because CAC told them the recall might fix their start and die problem.

Where does it state that we need to replace non GM keys? I'm looking at the recall and I can't find anything.

It doesn't say anywhere what to do actually. We are only replacing keys that won't fit properly in the cover kits. We plug them if we can, and we don't do more than 2 keys, and we don't add a key if they have one key but they can have a 2nd key if they pay for it. This recall is written as if these old POS carts are all shiny and new and the tards driving them still have 2 pristine factory keys. More of the same, they are forcing us to deal with broke asses who don't read the letter and think we are going to fix their crank no start problem, just like the ignition recall and those people wanted caviar and champagne and a massage.

" those people wanted caviar and champagne "
Did that once for my nieces wedding. Kristen Miller (actress) and Morgan Langley (COPS Producer) at their mansion in Ojai, Ca.
Kind of fun to see how the "other" half lives. Yup, the russian caviar was great!!!!
