Anyone catch the bulletin about GM changing the catalog? Looks like its going to be just like the Toyota EPC Supposedly its available on the web now, but when I click the EPC link in Parts Workbench I still get the old one.

Yeah, the class only showed up in Center of Learning yesterday, but is still in development. I think the new catalog is rolling out in waves or zone by zone?

Use your contacts to see if you can get to talk to the developers. I Made it to the right person and get to be a pilot location as they start to make changes. Its kinda fun to get to try it before it goes live. But at the same time you get to find the bugs that cause your computer to lock up.

Yes, I saw the bulletin. One of our counter computers lacks a 500gb hard drive. So I have to decide whether to replace the drive or the PC. Unfortunately, HP didn't ship discs with the PC when we purchased it and all the information is on a partition. So replace the drive lose the partition. Sure it can be done but the time it takes may not be worth it.
Moral of the story - check your computers now and develop a plan.

Started using this today, and I have to say that I really like it so far. If you cannot access it, you have to have your IT coordinator or whatever they call it approve it in parts workbench for your dealership role to see. Only thing I wish they could have is access to engineering notes.

It's still not showing here... is it marked NEW? Because all I see is the GM EPC link.
OK, you have to have the GM Global security coodinator mark so you can see it. It's not a huge change, the contrast is better on some items... I'm still holding out for the 3D version.

Please:
What tab in Parts Workbench is it under? Also what is the exact name of the catalog link? My PSC won't be able to find it unless I'm VERY specific. Also the training course still shows "under development" but there is a launch button. Has anyone taken the course yet?

I love how you can have multiple instances up of the catalog as tabs so you don't have to back out of a huge laundry list to look up something for somebody else and you can save it as a job to load later. Awesome, and the email functions now as it should without having to attach an .exe. file so people can see the illustration since no email service anywhere allows the mailing of .exe files.

This is the email that I sent my PSC:
Can you please add this to my access under parts workbench in GM GlobalConnect.
“GM Next Generation EPC for North America”
There is a message today stating that this is available now. Thanks.
He had no problem adding it. I am currently using it thru gmglobaldisconnect
