Corvette Wax

Corvette Wax

Postby Denise Trimble » Wed Jan 14, 2015 6:29 pm

Have sold two new Corvettes last month an both customers are asking for wax. The owner's manual specifically states not to use wax with petroleum distillates in it, but does not offer a GM part number, only "see your dealer".
ChemKrest has escalated the question to their supplier, because the bottle recommended in the Corvette Car Care Kit (and every other kit) does not specify on the label.
Just hoping someone on here has been down this road, and can offer some helpful wisdom.
Thanks in advance!

Checked SI and the "Clearcoat Repair Specifications" recommends 3M products for new vehicle prep or fine wheel marks by hand glazing/polishing:

•Perfect-It Wax P/N 39026/39526
•Detail Cloth P/N 06016
