Customer buys a base model Sierra that just has vinyl covering the whole floor. He wants real mats. There are no real mats available for his VIN as it just has the vinyl floor covering.
The liability question - Knowing this, would you sell him mats from a different truck. Also knowing there's no way to anchor them to keep them from sliding all over the place.
My answer - no. With all the problems Toyota had and the media reports. I don't want the responsibilty/liability in case something happens somewhere down the road.
There's nothing stopping him from going to Auto Zone or Walmart to get some generic mats he can put in himself and put all the liability on himself
Any other thoughts?
