There are dealers out there who buy up other dealers' obsolescence or termination return rejects at pennies on the dollar. They employ a person or service to handle that portion of the inventory, and maybe other small tasks. We have a dealer in our area who does that.

There are also the dealers that take the 75% return payout then write down their own parts to get rid of their own way. I know that's why you see a lot of dealers selling parts on OEC at 50% off cost

You might check that idea with your factory corporate rep. It came to light during a GM recall part hoarding fiasco last summer that some unscrupulous dealers were selling them on eBay. I was informed by our district parts manager that GM prohibits sales by dealers on Ebay. Honest to goodness that's what she said, but I still see plenty of dealers with eBay stores.
