Tire Spiff

Need a little advice ..We are at a store where the service dept has controlled the Tires for years and just this year a change was made and Parts will now control Tires.
Can I get some input from what you folks do as far as spiffing the service advisors for selling Tires, I realize a lot of this depends on what your matrix is on selling to begin with , but just looking for some idea's. The Service manager in the past while he controlled paid $5 per pair

If you're GM like your handle implies, check into the GM spiff programs. They pay SA's for all sorts of promotions, Tires, Wipers, Brakes etc. some are seasonal some are permanent. Your GM rep might be of help.

I wouldnt spiff advisors to sell tires yet....First I would make flyers that can be posted around the store and at the advisors station and indicate that you sell tires competitively and use a price comparison sheet- I find , in this market, Costco is my biggest competitor , so I have sheets made up that show costco price from their website and then my price, I dont make a lot of money on tires, so I am usually within a few dollars of costco. We also offer free rotations for life of the tire and 3 year roadhazard warranty. Usually they sell themselves if you market them correctly but you do need dealership(parts and service) buy in to the fact that replacement tires are a big point of defection for a customer and dealership... once they buy tires elsewhere and are offered free rotations from somewhere else and then the customers get mailings from that company reminding them of free rotations are due. You know they are eating our lunch and dinner too and getting the oil change or brake fluid change or brakes when needed because they are already there. When all else fails, I would probably spiff the advisors for whoever does the most in a month.
