Ideas for wholesale flyer....

Ideas for wholesale flyer....

Postby LOWAIRD1964 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 5:44 pm

hi everyone I took over a small gm parts dept about 8 months ago, although I have worked here for 8 years. We never really had any wholesale. I would like the gm see that I am trying to make an effort to "change" for the better and pickup some more accounts. Problem is we have at least 3-4 other gm dealers within 10-20 miles a a/c delco dist about 45 mins away and a giant gm wholesale pig who also is within a half hour. Any ideas or help with making up a flyer would be great! I have reynolds. Thanx!!

Maybe order some pens and notepads with your company name/logo on them and take a day every couple weeks to go visit some of the local shops.

My advice, stay out of the body shops and concentrate on the local, mechanical shops that you can service and build a relationship with.

I did flyers and used the GM marketing company and it was pointless. I mean GM paid it because I used co-op money but I didn't see one response from it. Just saying

Create something that will not get thrown away.

Make it useful! Put together a fluid chart for some of your brand vehicles with some pricing next to the fluid. Use both sides. Then laminate it. You may not get sales from it but your name will be there for a long time and not round filed so quickly.

Make it fun! Put your name and number on a candy dish at the bottom to call for free refills. Treat this as important as a parts delivery. They can try your service with out having to buy anything. Besides, Who would throw away free candy.

Make it valuable! Put some coupons together. 1/2 price next day air, 1 part at dealer cost, and just keep thinking lost leader.

I always liked to make sure established customers could partake in the festivities as well.
