CADILLAC DEALERS, RECALL 15119 - anyone else having trouble figuring out what part to order?

We had 17 pre-ships for in-stock units , all were the same part number. Even the color choice on the recall did not match the interior trim color?

I just sent this to the email on the bottom of the recall message:

To whom it may concern,

I am unable to understand the parts listing for this RECALL: I will require a better explanation of what parts I need to order for each customer vehicle as they come in. RECALL 15119 DOC ID 4091714 does not explain it properly.


ISSUE #1: COLOR
We had 17 preshipments for in-stock units, GM sent us the same part number 23366576 for each vehicle. The recall describes this part as titanium.
All the vehicles had the following options:
CF5,UE1,UG1,4AA w/o UTU, UTV 4AA IS BLACK, WE WERE PRESHIPPED A TITANIUM COLOR PIECE.

Color does not match description in catalog for console in group 10.225


ISSUE #2: INTRUSION SENSOR
What is the option code for this option called intrusion sensor ? UTU, UTV? No explanation in recall. Does not exactly match option listing in parts catalog.



Please clarify the parts listing in this RECALL 15119 and reissue.

Thought I saw that they updated the bulletin to make some color corrections - is there a 15119a released yet? It might be on there

edit = there is an "a"now

"This bulletin is being revised to change the part color names in the parts chart. Please discontinue use, and discard all copies of Noncompliance Recall 15119. "

15119A does not answer my question

WE GO TO GROUP 10225... GET THE COLOR... THEN IT EITHER HAS JUST CF5 (TOP 3 CHOICES) UTV (MIDDLE 3) OR UG1 (BOTTOM 3)

DONE THAT, GROUP 10225, COLOR IS DIFERENT THAN THE PIECES THAT WERE PRE SHIPPED.. YOU CANNOT USE THAT COLOR TO ORDER PARTS

Senior Parts Analyst from GM received my email and called me to understand the issue. So solution is hopefully in the works.

The color you need is listed in 10.225 next to console description. We found that out today even though interior color was black 4AA we needed Platinum on several of them.

UPDATE TODAY STATING THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT COLOR YOU ARE GOING TO NEED. YES I AM THE REASON FOR THE UPDATE.

Anyone see that they determined these parts weren't in compliance so there's now a stop sale on 13-16 ATS and all the ones we've already fixed will have to be fixed again.

Also stop all repairs using the current parts and wait for God knows how long to send them back for credit.

The fun never ends
