I just did a return and for some dumb reason used 2010 and I only put the amount I was returning and left the TC code blank. It took the part out of inventory but seems to have showed it as a sale with 0 profit? NOW when I check 2535 is shows CTR# NAME
DAILY
TODAY AVERAGE
--------- ---------
# DOC 22 26
# LINES 94 66
NET SALES 1634.95 3957.89
NET COST 2821.17 2595.88
RETURNS 0.00 -52.39
RETURN % 0.0
GP$ -1186.22 1362.01
GP% -72.6*
Any Idea how to fix this? Or if I need to worry about fixing it?

That's kind of weird. I'm not on Reynolds any more so I can't visually check, but if the TC code was left blank, how would the system know if you were adding or minusing or verifying the part?
I'd recommend giving Reynolds a call and see what they say about it. Maybe they can reverse what you did. I wouldn't use 2010 anymore for returns though.

you can just go into 2010 and do a -1 to each part # and it should reverse it. dont use a TC code. when you dont use a TC, it counts it as an unusual sale. (it's been 2 years since i used reynolds but i think this is right.) then set up the return in 2083? and relieve it that way.

A blank TC records as a sale, goes back to the old manual posting days. That's why it prompts for inv #, ctr#, cust# etc.
Just reverse exactly what you posted with a neg. 1 then 2082/2086 as usual.

I tried putting a -1 in and it does put the part back in inventory, it does not change the GP % or dollar figure. On the phone with reynolds now, see what they have to say

Nothing can be done they said to reverse it, no more 2010 for me.
