ProgiParts

Hi everyone, I have a big body shop in my area asking me today if I was on ProgiParts, now currently, we do not deal with many body shops, and we are only on collisionLink for one shop because it is the DP's friend, I would like to know what the advantages and disadvantages are of ProgiParts and more specifically what is the cost per month of the system because we are a small-growing to medium-dealer.

Honestly haven't heard of that one yet. Sounds like more money out our dwindling profits.

Progi is Canada only, based out of Quebec. The body shop making the inquiry is an Intact insurance approved facility, otherwise he wouldn't ask. All parts used for an Intact insurance job have to be purchased through Progi. You sell your parts to progi in the body shop's name and Progi charges you "network access fees". In other words they ream you up the ass. Progi has set up a network of dealers in your area for each brand, so chances of getting in now are slim unless a current dealer gives it up.

Hey steve, thanks for the heads up, when I worked at my previous dealership, they had progi parts and collisionlink, only because we were a big group 5 size dealer with numerous reputable body shops in the local and surrounding areas, and we had 2 drivers to supply them, I was not the one dealing with it as we had a guy specifically for that, i want to call up my old boss and get his opinion on it too.
