A body shop we sell to asked if I knew about the new gm pricing. Body shops will have access to the new pricing before they call a dealership. Anyone know about this? So gm will cut prices so we make even less?

Body shops always knew what list prices were from either their own software or crash books
or are you referring to something else like the upcoming Mypricelink?

I think what you guys need to look into is your OE Connection, it's called repairlink I think and because the general owns 50% of oec, you guys get to be the test mules.

I know they can see list prices, but now they will see (a competitive pricing from gm-lower then list) then they still expect a wholesale discount on top of that. So dealers lose and body shops win.

Probably referring to the mypricelink deal... Supposed to offer realtime "competitive" pricing. Rather than jacking the prices in the first place, maybe they could just sell us the stuff cheaper, and do away with programs like bump the competition.

Why would they eliminate all those programs, come on guys it keeps us in shape. All the hoops we jump through burn alot of calories. I realize the aftermarket sheet metal is a big deal, so I understand wanting to compete with the aftermarket, but it does create extra work.
