I'm really dreading this program, just like most of you folks as well...

We're not a big wholesale dealer, maybe 2 decent body shops and a bunch of mechanical customers. It's going to really be a burden when one of our service dep't, wholesale or even retail customers wants a price quote on a wheel, weatherstrip, catalytic converter/muffler or a headlamp. Who knows even what the gross will be?

How are you going to handle it? Make up your own list on a cost-plus basis? Use GM's arbitrary market driven list? Will you have a minimum required markup to cover break-even? Just because GM drops or "un-publishes" the MSRP your cost is not going to change, so are they expecting us or the wholesale customer to lose?

Nope, don't like this one bit.

Automate has a setting that automatically creates a list price if there isn't one. It's based on a % of cost. I made mine 200%.

One of the few things that's nice about Automate but I can't believe they would be the only ones with that setting.

I'm on ADP and will be setting up a source for those parts.

There should be a qualifier for them in ABCD like for the CPVP parts.

Batch change to move them to the new source and a 75-100% markup depending on my mood.

Do any of you know what part/s will not show list price. Will it be just slp parts or all parts or maybe whatever GM wants

There was a list of categories put out at the first announcement.

By fading memory only, some of it was:

body parts (of course) and where it should stop but:

wheels
mirrors
glass
weatherstrips
moldings
airbag stuff, I think?
and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting about
