How to get paid for sending another dealers spare tire back

Postby LOWAIRD1964 » Thu Sep 17, 2015 9:05 pm

I am not sure if this is the right place for me to post this but maybe someone else had to do it before and remembers. I did one about a year ago and no one here including myself can remember how to get paid remburesment or what labor op to use. Basically a spare from another dealer out of state showed up here this week and I have to send it back and I would like to make sure I am not sending it back for free :D

Need more info on how it showed up

Did it show up as part of your daily delivery? If so, give it back to your driver with a "not ours" note on it and be done with it.

If it was shipped by that tire company that sells spares for GM, call them and have them pick it up and get it to the right place.

Tell who ever did ship it incorrectly to get it picked up.

Zepp thanx for the reply. Basically a customer got a flat on there way home from vacation. Another dealer/Cadillac roadside asst. came out and put a there spare tire on the customers car for the customer to get home. Now customer come in here and we change out spare for new tire and we (the dealer) are left with the spare tire to return. There is a labor opt out there where we can claim the return shipping costs back to the owner/Cadillac dealer. I have done this one other time about a year ago but just can't remember how we did it. Thanx
