Has anybody taken the ASE test that is now required for parts managers in the Mark Of Excellence program? If so, how was it. I have it scheduled and have found nothing to study so I guess I will see how it goes. Not really worried about it, but sure would hate to waste my time.

If you're referring to the GM Parts ASE P4, all of my guys and I have taken it. It's BS as usual like the GM training, and a lot of it is outdated policy and procedure, claims, cores, RIM, some parts group questions thrown in and a few customer interaction situations.

Yep, that's the one, and that's what I figured. Thanks!

The good news is that its an easy test. If I remember right they gave me an hour or so to complete like 30 questions and it only took 15 minutes. Missed two questions.

Well, it was pretty easy and I passed with flying colors. Counterman A and counterman B should both be fired though.........

I've taken all the courses on the parts manager's training path and don't see this one. Where is it?

You will need to go to ASE dot COM and create a log in and register to find a location near you where you can go to take the test. Check with your techs, I would think they have done it in the past.
