Now it almost seems that we have to be on it? Is this true, I am a small dealer with not alot of body shop wholesale. I would like it to be more but so hard we have 2 giant dealers close by under cutting everyone. Just looking for some oppinions, Thanx!
Lowaird... If you subscribe to one of the OE-Connection for D2D and the locator, you will have access through those programs. From what I understand, you DO NOT have to have Collision Link to access the data. The CollisionLink component integrates the body shop estimating software with the OE-Connection data and somehow makes it all SEAMLESS, or so they are touting in "the webinar teleconference chat room deal". Additionally, depending on your DMS, it is supposed to be populating invoices automatically, or something like that. Also, did you notice there were no live questions... So, if you use the locator, there is a hot link in the "MY APPLICATIONS" menu which is on the left side of my screen.
I am no longer on Collision Link, but I am continuing to subscribe to the D2D software package. I am NOT subscribing to any upgrades or any programs related to MyPriceLink at this time.
Also, I found it interesting that during "the webinar teleconference chat room deal", the representatives from OE-Connection DID NOT know their own customer service phone number for dealers to call. That is how far they are removed from us "end-users". They don't know and they don't care...
~ gt... your mileage may vary, but I doubt it.
