Got ANYTHING Good to say?

Got ANYTHING Good to say?

Postby Bravepart » Thu Dec 10, 2015 8:28 pm

I've noticed on the DFOAB, and here, that not many of us are happy with anything that GM has done since bankruptcy.I'm included. Just wondering if anybody can come up with ANYTHING Good to say about what GM has done since. I'll start by saying ???????mmmmm , I don't know yet, but if I can think of something,I'll let you know.

We have reluctantly switched to the new catalog, holding off on the update we should have done in July. But I figured it was time as the data was getting old. There are so many nuances that send the parts catalog in the wrong direction. Everything that I find, I send a complaint via the HELP button on the parts catalog. they know me by name, probably with a big asterisk next to. An engineer from Snap On Business solutions called me yesterday morning and I went over every nuance I had. We will see what happens. He said a new update is being generated, I told him I would like to be on the beta test team prior to release. I think I am trying to hard to save the world.

Earlier this week GM "listened to our suggestions" and enhanced the already enhanced Globalconnect. Another step in the wrong direction as the links in my favorites send me in a never-ending loop that opens a new window every time.

So no I do not have anything good to say about GM at this time.

In our case, I like the later cut-off time for next day orders. 4:00 ???

I like the review code F parts.

It really helps my bottom line when I have to overnight parts stocked in my local PDC.

And brake pads. I can't tell you how much it has helped with CSI since I started overnighting brake pads.

We shouldn't stock any parts really, just overnight them all.

GM has created a game changer with this one.

I must admit that they changed my PDC from 006(Philadelphia,PA), which was about an hour away, compared to 051(Martinsburg,WV), which is just over 3 hours away. Late cut off and my parts are still here by 3:30A.M.. I never thought it would work.

It is unfortunate, but the once great company for training and servicing their dealers has gone down the slippery slope of bureaucracy and management by those who have never worked on the lines in the "real world"; so in the absence of 'their' leadership, or lack of it, we much on and, surprisingly, do well in most cases without the "company". It's really too bad, in the past it was not that way at all. Mike Nicholes
