So GM issues new part #'s for single hole keys, does a special recall on the old #'s, and THEN TAKES THE PART #,s OUT OF THE CATALOGS. What good does the number change do if you don't have the old number. One of my counter guys called
Partec to get a part # for a key and was told we would have to call for part #'s for 2000-2008 keys. Un-believable, it's like the more advanced our catalogs get the less useful they are.

The people running the show in Detroit keep coming up with new and imaginative ways to screw things up.

I can't wait for the next one.

I would go through the keys you have in inventory, use sales history to see what they fit, and then make notes in the catalog.

we sold out of our 15026223 chevrolet keys two weeks ago, just today i checked in 10 new keys pn 23372321 that i had no clue the part number had changed.

edit: i looked in EPIC, and found this. the 15026222 gmc key and the 15026223 chevrolet key both change to the new 23372321 key that has a small hole, GM logo, and a key ring. the old 2852058 key also changes over to this new 23372321 key as well.

gotta love it.

If you go to Supersession Query in the RIM website you can enter the current part# 23372321 in the New part field and get a list of all the old numbers. Then make the appropriate changes.

Best part is that these keys are only stocked in Pontiac 075. I've had to turn away multiple customers the last few days. I have 10 on order since last Monday that haven't shown up yet..
