Anybody else have any of these on order?
I currently have 2. I had 3 but our DMA actually authorized putting a used tank in a vehicle last month because when we dropped the tank to diag the issue the sender broke and there was nothing else we could do and customer was without a vehicle for 2-3 weeks!
Just got this answerback on one of the other ones: ATTN MANAGER IN PARTS: BE ADVISED THAT ON YOUR
SPAC CASE NUMBER G00519205 THERE IS NO SPRINT AV, NO
DEALER DIRECTS, ALTERNATE, UP ASSEMBLY, OR PRODUCTION
NUMBER. NOTHING PER ENGINEERING. NO ETA AT THIS TIME TO
WHEN PART WILL BECOME AVAILABLE.

Absolutely ridiculous they come out with this bulletins and don't even have parts to repair the issue then we all look like assholes when trying to explain why a customer is waiting months for a part.

Email from my DM, Jan. 5, 2016.

"Team – We have been receiving a lot of calls in the office regarding the 14423A Special Coverage and how dealerships should be handling this issue, as the ETA for the parts is currently May.

Here is how the NCR would like to handle this situation:
• Dealer is to inspect the vehicle, if no fracture is found in the inlet check valve, then the customer should be advised that their vehicle is OK and they can continue to drive the unit.
• If the dealer inspects the unit and finds that the Inlet Check Value has fractured (this should be a low number of units, as they anticipate that only 1% of the vehicle population will be affected) you should have the dealer take pictures of the failure and then you should send them to Larry Crabtree for review. Once Larry reviews the photos he will then advise if you should put the customer into a rental or not. (Yes, I realize that in some cases the rental cost will exceed the value of the vehicle, but until we get any other direction, this is how we will handle these situations).
• Dealerships should NOT attempt to do a repair until parts become available."
