What in the heck is going on with the water pumps on the Cruze's. Part # 55486342? All the sudden I can't get any. Seems like they had a design change and now they keep canceling my orders for them.

Anybody Else? Any solutions?

they had a PNC and RIM was shipping them everyday for a while. At one point I had 11 of the old part #, but I forced RIM to take 6 back. I would say they did a lot of dealers that way, and all the stock is on shelves with the old part # on it.

They keep switching the numbers around on them for some reason. Looks like now they've gone back to an old number but the number we've been getting in for them lately is 55486344.

I guess i'll try that number. We'll see what happens

Both 55486342 and 55486344 say "Future part not yet available".

I knew the first number did, I hadn't taken the time to check the second.

I just noticed that. Last week GM send us about 4 of the 55486344's though. I have no idea what's going on with them.

Per Amy at Partech: 55486342 will be reinstated. Nice price difference!!! Will probably take REAM days to fix.

Or weeks. Especially nice when we get a Cruze in that needs one about every other day.

Up here in the great white north, our local PDC shows a quantity of 120 of p/n: 55486342 but the other number does show it as a future, almost had a scare that I was going to be screwed.
