Does anyone know if I order SL Parts that are REAM managed on a DRO instead of a CSO will it still count against my SL Parts Purchase Loyalty. I'm having a hell of a time keeping this number up. Ive been nailed with that 1% surcharge for about 3 months out of the last two years. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. we get into a bind sometimes were we don't have the time to wait three days for GM to send us a part.

As long as the part is RIM managed then ordering any said part on a CSO or DRO will not count towards or against your RIM Purchase Loyalty. It will basically just exclude that purchase from the calculations.

It does count against the Service Lane Parts Purchase loyalty. They want you to let Ream send you any Service Lane Part that you have accepted a proposal for. If you order a Service Lane part that is currently Ream managed, it counts against your your Service Lane Part Purchase Loyalty. And if its not above a certain percentage, they break it off in you.

I can't find anything concrete (much like most of GM's programs), but I am under the belief that it has to be RIM ordered to get the credit towards the RIM Purchase Loyalty. I think that even a DRO order would flag it and it would count against you...but again, that is only my belief.

CSOs are NOT included in the RIM Purchase Loyalty Calculation
Effective August 1, 2013, Customer Special Orders (CSOs) are no longer included in the Service Lane Parts RIM Purchase Loyalty calculation when the Dealer has accepted the RIM stocking policy recommendation for that part. This change enables the use of a CSO order to obtain a part from CCA to satisfy a customer demand when the RIM on-hand quantity is insufficient. CSOs meeting the above criteria will be removed from the Service Lane Parts RIM Purchase Loyalty calculation.

I found the explanation in GM message G_0000215828 on page 7. This is just ridiculous. I keep getting nailed with this 1% surcharge.

Can you please explain to me what I have to do to keep that number up then?

Did you look at your RIM purchase loyalty detail report to see what parts you are being penalized on?

It is stuff that is REAM managed but I need another one next day instead of waiting three days or waiting for REAM to update the quantity. So do I start telling customers we have to wait three days to fix their vehicle or do I order it? I don't know what to do to get it under control.

As long as the part is purchased from GM, It doesn't count against your Purchase loyalty. If your GM purchases are being counted against you, you should contact sameday adjuster.
