Did anybody see how we are supposed to bill R1234yf for warranty? A quantity of 1 equals 10 grams. Are you freaking kidding me. There are 28.34995 grams to one ounce. WHAT PART OF THAT MAKES SENSE???????

And then on top of that the S#!T is flammable. So we are gonna but a pressurized flammable gas in a vehicle, so that way when some one gets hit in the front the car could catch fire. REALLY????

I can already see the lawsuits now, I'm just not sure who they are going to sue, GM or the EPA.

And then how are you going to figure warranty? Have the warranty admin input it off what the tech writes and the cost for it that month and then credit the supplies account when the credit comes? That definitely would not fly here.

That would be so freaking nice! except we have a lazy warranty administrator that the management keeps allowing to be lazy. I can only imagine the amount of money we leave on the table with warranty that could be claimed, especially with OLH. That's like the net item stuff, I bill it to 6104 service shop supplies when it comes in yet the parts dept still bills it and it goes to the parts dept. Makes sense right?

It has to be billed in grams. If I remember right, there were 4400 grams in a tank. So divide 4400 (if that's correct - it's been a while since I was with GM now) by your cost of the whole tank to get the per gram price

The machine the techs use will print a receipt that has to go with the RO and it states how many grams were used. What you bill has to equal what is on that receipt

There are 28.3495 grams in an ounce. But come on! Really? Per 10 grams? Why make it more difficult than it was? What is wrong with just using ounces?

It's a metric world and GM is a global company." Patty" doesn't understand ounces.

We post the tank into inventory in grams and bill out in grams on the repair order. The warranty lady submits to warranty in units of 10.
Example we bill 620 grams and she submits 62 grams.
No problems so far.
