Courtesy Rentals

I have now had a second rental car company tell me GM is now authorizing $35/day for rentals. I have contacted my AVM and the DBC but neither had any info. I have heard GM was considering the rate change but have seen nothing official. Anyone else run into this situation? We are in northeastern Massachusetts.

A while back earlier this year there was an admin message over access about here in NYC metro area and how some vendors were trying to get a higher rate but it didnt pan out. As of now here in NYC area rates paid are the same still, with no word of a rate increase. It would seem with prices rising some all over for everything they would allow a higher rate , especially in large metro areas.

Sorry that this post isn't directly related to the thread, but I wanted to give everyone an idea out there about the activity on the message boards. While it may not seem like a subject gets much action from the posts, there are seems to be a wide amount of interest in the subject matter of courtesy rentals. This particular message thread has received almost 500 unique visits in a week, average time viewed was 2:14 - blowing away most of the other forum topics.

I assume that people don't post because (1) they don't want too , (2)their comments have already been taken/the question has been answered, or (3) they can't of anything to add of value.

As I remind all readers from time to time - I hope that you all take the time to participate. If not this thread, pick another one to comment about. Thanks for everyone in keeping up the great interaction that makes these forums a true resource for dealerships.
