DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE ON EITHER OR BOTH SYSTEMS? WE ARE UPGRADING OUR SYSTEM AND ARE GOING TO ADD SPG'S. WE ARE LOOKING AT BOTH ADP AND REYNOLDS. MANAGEMENT IS LOOKING AT OVER ALL COST, BUT I WANT PRICE GUIDES THAT WORK THE BEST. THANKS

r&r spg
works great once you have it set up.
setting it up is a LOT of work
Do yourself a favor and get the rep to show up in person and help until you are satisfied
It is a LOT of work and if it isnt set up correctly from the get go -
it is a LOTx2 of work to fix it
Oh yeah I already said that... But I meant it twice, maybe 3 or 4 times.

AK is oh-so correct on the setups.

Many dealers make the assumption that the SPS/SPG data should be 100% accurate from the get-go.

You've got necessary tweaks where your shop deviates from the standard. ADP uses motors or a warranty plus percent for your prices.

If you don't verify the pricing, the writers will tell you when it errors on the high side, and the techs will tell you when it errors on the low side.

Can't speak for the RR guides, but the ADP guides have some nice features such as related/supplemental repair awareness and a nice windows navigation with web2006. Also integrates incredibly well with tech terminals.

I will agree that it can take some time to setup SPG on R&R. Part of the reason for this is the attention to detail. The pricing information provided by you is translated to the system by programming. Once that information is uploaded, you are contacted to verify specifications, helping ensure accurate information in the guide. There may still be some minor tweaks necessary, which can be done with the assistance of the team here in Tampa. Once you come on, you have a dedicated person that can assist you with how to make changes, and information on the system. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to e-mail me.

(btw, Reynolds offers Motors times, but also allows you to compare to warranty plus a percentage & take which time is higher)

I have been on R&R since it's begining. It does take some work, but anything that is good does too. The work comes with the operations, your time vs R&R time. we have 5 GM lines and I have to keep up with the correct times. Only takes a few minutes to correct, need the techs and advisors to let me know when something is not right. I use the Motors default with warranty + 40% to back it up. This store had it, but no one set it up correctly. I also use the "grid"default to set the labor rate. I also "map" certain operations to my REY REY base..sub codes so I know jobs are priced out right and consistantly by the advisors. I locked (password procted) the labor so the advisors cannot change it with my knowledge.
