Question 16

GM did through the parts dept. They were not happy, but we did everything they asked us to do. We spac'd it and kept the parts rep in the loop the whole time. We were able to show all of the inquiries to Partech. They really had no choice!! Oh yeah then there was the Escalade rear axle during the strike. That one endded up with a 4400.00 rental and reimbursed 3 payments to owner. That one was paid by GM through service area manager. But my point is...they want to lower costs yet silly stuff like this goes on.

Question 16

"We all know that any part is available from anywhere in a few days. The question is whether the people who control such things care enough to get it."

I currently have 9 open SPAC cases going back as far as 41 days. I have 37 stock items on CSO backorders. Me or my countermen use D2D daily to call other dealers hoping to find someone willing and able to fill any of these SPAC backorders. I notify my APM regarding every SPAC case that goes on for more than 2 days. I'm not talking about rare Belgium made pumps, I'm talking about oil filters and seals etc. there is no pattern. GM fill rates are at an all time low based on my store's experience.

Possibly you are refering to the logistics of actually transporting the parts? whereas I am refering to the availability of the parts themselves. There is a HUGE difference.

and who do you get answers from?
AVM refers to APM, APM back to AVM...
and if you request for consideration on surveys to be removed from the count...all you get is "cannot do it"...when the reason has nothing to do with the dealership's due diligence to provide "complete satisfaction".
