Quick Lube Center

Wondering if anyone out there has a stand alone "quick service shop" or knows of any sites as to where I can get some feedback. I'm looking for the usual #'s: ELR, HRS/RO, avg labor sales, lines/ro etc. Also pay structures for techs and advisors. We currently own one and was wondering if the rules/expectations are different than here at the dealership.

You might want to check out National Oil and Lube News. It's like the Automotive News magazine for the quick lube industry. They have industry survey books for the numbers you might want to compare.

It's also good for P&S managers to see how the quick lube industry (our primary competition) is eating dealer's lunch, where they are branching out and going next.

They also have a web site www.NOLN.NET

I concur that NOLN is the best resource. Click on their survey page and buy their Annual Fast Lube Operators Survey for $60. Or wait a month or so until their next report comes out. In the meantime, Ed Kovalchick of Net Profit wrote a good comparison piece in Dealer Magazine http://www.dealer-magazine.com/issues/i ... h2004.html about the survey a few months back.
