adp question

Postby btk » Tue Nov 06, 2007 10:39 am

I am new to ADP 1000 soon to be upgraded to websuite, The existing service manager has to open up a separate RO for warranty and customer pay. She is under the impression that if they open up one RO with customer pay and warranty -that if they close out customer pay it closes internal and warranty at the same time. Does anybody know if that is true and/or if there is a setup screen for that. It doesnt seem right to me.
Thanks

I don't know about ADP 1000 (Alliance?), but Web Suite 2006 or ADP Reflections closes EVERYTHING. I understand Rey & Rey keeps warranty and internal open. ADP DOES NOT.

Actually I was going to post this as the #1 issue against ADP in the other person's question. ADP does not allow you to split a ticket and close individual billing portions as simply as R&R does. ADP does sell a "split-ticket" module which is in my opinion is a poor work-around solution and not nearly as fool-proof as R&R has.

I don't know anything about Rey, worked ADP my whole career. Having ADP close everything was just one of the things we dealt with, never even considered being able to partially close a ticket. I think for the most part this is ok though, it keeps your warranty admins and internal advisors (we had two) on the ball. Techs were not paid on an RO unless the RO was closed. THere were times when at pay period ends and many jobs were finishing up we worked later at night just closing ro's.

We are on Web Suite-1000 & you can close the Cust Pay out & leave Warr lines open until the claim pays.

ADP has a feature called split-ro. This is what your looking for. You need to contact your rep. for pricing. But it is definitely
something you should have.

You are correct. ADP does have a product called split RO using the CSPO function. I don't know much about the sales side of the process but this "Split RO" is a CarInk program and it is used by AutoNation as normal course. You may want to make sure who supports it as you are making your decision.
