Anyone out there using an Express pick up for their service customers? If so would you mind explaining the process.

We call it Active Delivery. All vehicles are parked in "A-lot", the paper work has the keys attached, the S.C. is required to go over the R.O. with the customer and they usually walk them out to the vehicle. Great CSI builder and the cashiers don't have to stumble through what was done. We used to have "Express Delivery" - they could pre-pay by phone, veh. up front, etc. - nobody used it much though.

the success of a program like this depends on your location & the skill of your advisors. years ago when i was on the counter at a downtown volvo dealer, i made sure ALL of my customers prepaid!
i lived 1 1/2 hours from the store & wanted to go home at 5, but did not want to burden other advisors with my customers picking up.

i would call when the car was ready, get their payment info & then leave the keys & invoice in an envelope with reception. because i was thorough, there were never any questions and my customers did not even go into the service dept.

this would not work without disciplined advisors who got the details correct & fully explained themselves.
