What do you pay a tech for a L.O.F?

WE FLAG .3 BUT PAY $3.00 AS A FLAT COST FOR LOF.IT IS UP TO THE TECHS TO INSPECT AND UPSALE FROM THAT POINT.BY FLAT COSTING AT $3.00 FOR THE TECH WE CAN REMAIN COMPETITIVE ON PRICING AND IT ALLOWS US TO DISPATCH THROUGH OUT THE SHOP TO ALL SKILL LEVELS.

Our lube rack guy quit last week. In order to keep the line techs busy the service manager has decided not to replace the lube rack guy. Line techs will do the LOF work from now on.

If you have a "regular" tech doing this type of work what do you pay him / her?"

Smart service manager...that is how it should be done.

Our techs get .3 for our basic oil change, .5 for our standard, and .7 for our premium.

Plus they get an additional .3 to perform a thorough no wrench inspection on each oil change. You can't sell work if you don't find it the first place.
