NO

We've tried it several times, and it always ends the same, we can't get enough work in to justify being open. Our Owner is all about customer service, the front end is built on the back end, but were open 7am to 6pm and that's enough for us and our customers. Surveys have told us the same. He doesn't like just throwing money away and would rather put it into resources and facility..

Sales department works, No service... Our head tech comes in most Saturdays to catch up on things and take a few oil change, odd jobs here and there from regulars that can't make it during the week. Mostly easy stuff he usually doesn't do during the week and it's his family's business so he sets a example and puts the hours in. It's really laid back and nice n quiet. I run the parts and have been going in at least a few hours to catch up on things without distraction. It is so nice when the phone doesn't ring and I don't have people asking me a million questions and bothering me constantly. It takes 5min to pull the few parts he needs right away and actually get something accomplished and be out before or right after lunch. Not to mention the overtime is pretty sweet on the old paycheck. I am lucky the owner gives me Saturday as a option and if I want to stay after 5 during the week I can if I want. I can go in if and when I want on Saturdays and leave whenever I please, plus he usually cooks or buys us food so that's also a big win. I might do 3 hours one week and do 5 or 6 the next. Heck, I might not show up at all... Not open on Sundays ever... I love my job.
