Service department tablets

Service department tablets

Postby LOWAIRD1964 » Mon Dec 04, 2017 5:22 pm

Heys guys anyone using tablets to write up a service customer? We have Reynolds and Reynolds. I don't even know if it could be done, just thinking we are a small dealership. Only 6 techs 2 writers-2 write up areas and you know how it gets. it would be nice to be able to just jump in and help a customer if needed to hurry things along. Any ideas, suggestions?

Service dept. here uses tablets for customer write up and walkaround inspections. The tablets run off our internal wifi connection so it is just like
setting in front a desktop computer and they integrate into our DMS just fine. We are on Dominion for a DMS so I don't know how Reyrey would work
but I would have to think that it could be done.

Microsoft Surface Pro. The advisors said they work pretty good. side note- we did have to bump our Wi-Fi to make everything work as it should

Consider having a strong WIFI system installed for this alone with the system hidden, otherwise your bandwidth will be stolen by customers and employees alike.
