My question is simple how many of you are using an outside company to admin your warranty dollars, and if so are you happy with them.

What company are you using? I've heard of Warranty Pros, and J&L....I have to say though, I like the way you think. Why have to worry about it.

Actually you're probably thinking of one in the same ... as in their name is J&L Warranty Pros ... not two different companies. Ummm, but before we spend more time and engery talking up our direct competition in some markets, let me put a link to a similar discussion in the past.
Warranty outsourcing forumThat will pretty much sum up a great deal of the question if you happen to be a Ford dealer.

Intresting topic--I'm considering this option myself--out sourcing warranty processing. How ever my situation is I'm a multi franchise dealer. BMW,Mercedes.GM and Mitsubishi. It's difficult to find a company that can process all of these. But if anyone knows of one please let me know.

YOUR ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE FRANCHISES IS THE BEST REASON TO FIND A COMPETENT IN HOUSE ADMINISTRATOR. SOMEONE WHO KNOWS MULTIPLE MANUFACTURERS. WITH THE MIX YOU HAVE, YOU ARE DEALING WITH THE GENERAL WHO IS CURRENTLY ON A MISSION TO REDUCE WARRANTY EXPENSE AT THE DEALERS EXPENSE, MERCEDES, WHO PICK FLY ^*%*&^ OUT OF PEPPER, AND MITSUBISHI WHO HAVE ALWAYS MICROANALYZED THEIR CLAIMS. DO YOU HAVE ADEQUATE TRAINING FOR THE PERSON HANDLING THIS NOW, OR IS IT THAT YOU CAN'T FIND ANYONE TO DO THE WORK? JUST MORE QUESTIONS, I KNOW.

Just an update, since opening this topic I have check out four larger companies who do this type of work well.WPI,WPC,J&L WARRANTY PROS,and Randy Shepard & Assc. They all have different things that set them apart.WPI has a scaner program so that your Ro's never leave the dealership.(which is nice)
I must say I have learned alot about this topic since talking with all of them, but the two things that stand out most would be
1st They all work on a close margin of 4-5%
2nd They take the coding of the warranty labor ops away from the writers, which seems to me to give them more time to spend with the customers and tech's, wouldn't that alone sell more dollars per Ro at a min of 4-5% ???? I guess we'll see...
