We just went through a warranty audit with some problems. Now the factory says they will be back before the end of the year. Anyone have ideas of what to do?

Yeah, make damn sure the rules are followed !
Hate to sound like a wise guy, but, really, that's about all there is to it. It takes a lot of effort and continual monitoring.

Having said that, do you feel the "problems" were legitimate or were the auditors needlessly harsh?

I don't think they were harsh, just unforgiving. The mistakes that were made were the honest forgetting to dot the 'i' and cross the 't'. The staff in service are good, but when they write 100+ repair orders something is going to get missed.

Our company Warranty Dollars & Sense provides one stop shopping for all your warranty questions. If you want to dispute the current audit then we'd need to get working right away. If you want to monitor and review your operations moving forward then you should consider compliance reviews to see if the improvements are happening in your service department.

Our temporary website is at www.warrantydollars.com if you'd like a little more information - otherwise always feel free just to give me a call at 800-321-5312. <end blatant commercial and shameless self-promotion>
