I am about to make a change to a GM store. Have been in the import side of the business about 2 years, before that domestic, but with FLM. What are some of the things I need to be aware of with GM?
Thanks!

I have only been out for 7 months, but will go to Dlrwld to catch up and get back into the swing of things. Luckly going back to an area that I know most of the reps and will be comfortable with the new job. I am empowered in both regions, so shouldn't have any problem readjusting.

I have been out for several months, but have tried to keep up with GM policy.
The main thing about GM is that they give the manager the freedom to make the customer happy. This is good for you, but, beware of over use. GM's EPUR report is what gages your performance and goodwill. Use it wisely, make sure everything is properly documented and make sure you do not charge GM for a shop comeback. GM wants the management to have the freedom to make a decision without having to call the rep a lot. Call when there is serious doubt or as he/she instructs, but usually if it is the right thing to do, do it. Don't spend their money if you are going to loose the customer regardless of what is offered. Out of warrany goodwill is usually a split decision. Your rep will instruct you on how they want it done.
Good luck

get on P&P and get some of the new warranty basic changes...See if you are an SFE dealer and get acquainted with the program.
Be careful on the goodwill, make sure you clearly document it or you'll get debited. GM is trying to penny pinch as much as possible. Watch out for those Acadias if you are going GMC...THose will destroy your CSI...

Thanks for the tips! Do the Acadias have lots of issues? Is GMC doing anything about maybe survey removals, etc?
