Mid-Sized Dodge store in search of the best way to menu sell to our customers. We offer a full line of BG services in addition to OEM services. Problem is that every model car has a different schedule and most models with different engine sizes also their own schedule. I had a demo the other day of ADP's system (I already have SPS) that does a very nice job of showing the factory recommended service intervals, but it does not have the flexibility to add services or parts. For example MOPAR has finally come out with a fuel system service (courtesy of Wynn's) but Chrysler does not recommend a fuel system service in the owners manual! Couple this with the BG services we sell and you get my point. I really do not have the time to custom build menu's in SSPS for every vehicle and engine/trans. combination so my question is... What is everyone else doing? I thought about presenting just the OEM recommended service but I do not want to sacrifice the other services we do. I want the ability to have a ACCURATE menu ready to hand the customer as they walk through the door so they have something to look at while my Advisors are doing a walk around of the vehicle.

Good luck. I have been on ADP for 7 years at my current store and have found that it does very little to help you suggested selling. The programs are archaic. We will be dumping them within the next 6 months and I am glad.

We do alot of the BG services as well, and have incorperated them into our menu booklet. BG prints these menus out for us for free. They don't always match the owners manaul, but are usually pretty close.

Its worth the time to set up these maintenances, if you want a high degree of SPS utilization.

For simplicity's sake, you can setup BG services in a blanket mode for all vehicles. Obviously there will be some inaccuracies, such as diesel Vs gas.

I'm not sure how specific you need to get with BG services. Aren't most of the flush'n'fills at the same interval using the same part numbers?

Be careful with added maintenances, you could be ripe for a Reader's Digest or 20/20 expose' on service rip-offs.
