WAIVER OF GMPP DEDUCTIBLES

WAIVER OF GMPP DEDUCTIBLES

Postby KZSOUTHGAL » Wed Oct 20, 1999 12:11 pm

Since GMPP changed the auth. on waiving the deductibles for service managers, does everyone have a problem like I seem to have on getting them to waive a deductible.

Everytime I call GMPP we can't ever get one waived, I have to go through #$*& to try and get it and about 1 out of 20 might get waived. I think this is ridiculous !!!!

DOES EVERYONE ELSE HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM ???

I've not had this problem. I apply the necessary approval code and it goes through and I get paid the correct amount.

The deductible waiver auth (Claim Type 3)is restricted to some dealers.(You'll have to ask your GMPP rep why your authorization is restricted.)

GMPP lost control (and money) when they switched to the WINS system. I wouldn't be surprised if they took the deductible waiver away from all dealers in the near future.

I think I have only waived 3 deductables in over a year. GMPP was very specific when they thought it was acceptable to waive a deductable: If a part was ordered on a repair order that a deductable was collected and you let the car go to save rental costs; and a previous complaint that was a no trouble found, like a intermittant, and a deductable was collected. GMPP does not think a deductable should be waived just because a customer thinks it is unfair. It sounds like you may be trying to waive deductables too often. Also, you should check with your GMPP rep, because you should have self authorization. If not find out why. I am curious, what kind of issues are you trying to waive deductables for?

I have had gmpp rep's tell me that I can make the call and waive the deduct if it is justifiable (claim type 3) and I have rep's tell me that I can not make the call. So I am getting mixed messages. One thing is for sure and that is that their quality of service is going down hill :-(.
