does anyone have a mobile tech service? we are are investigating the processes required to make this service viable.
we are looking at simple service repair procedures, such as warranty part replacements for trim, and non technical replacement parts.
we want to provide a service for our customers that is beyond what the independent repair shops can provide.
any suggestions or ideas would be helpful.

We had a mobile service! Although we still have the van and all the tools it sits idle. We tried it for about a year or so and found that it was not at all profitable. We targeted fleet accounts, rental companies. We used it for some jump starting and survey customers. Most cases you had to make 2 trips if you didnt know what you needed. I think we would have been better off purchasing a tow truck in the long run.

I recently visited a dealership in CT that is running this type of service (if my memory serves me right) and they seemed satisfied with the results. The dealership is O'Keefe Cadillac-Olds-GMC in Westport, CT. The Dealer is Tom Curran Jr. Tell him Matt Parsons suggested you call him. The dealership phone number is (203) 227-9541.
