My first experience with PQC the week they opened was a joke--it took 8 phone calls and two days to convince them a motor home "p" chassis with a 6.5 diesel was not a med. duty unit and that was only after both my rep's, one med. duty, had called them--to have a quailty control system shouldn't they at least know as much as the people calling in? Also. the claim rejected for excessive time and labor op prohibited AFTER they gave me approval--ANYONE ELSE?

All I can say is this is what we've come to expect from services like this outsourced by non-GM people. Plus, from conception to announcement was way too fast to make sure all the bugs were out of the system. It makes it clear to me that this project has more to do with controlling warranty costs than it does with maintaining quality.
I've had a dozen callers who have had similar situations (auth given and claim rejects anyway). Hopefully, the process will get better with a little time.

You shouldn't have any problems if you call before submitting the claim. The claim you submit needs to be identical to the authorization they put in the system. What I mean by that is that the line total, labor time, etc, need to be submitted exactly as you tell them. Also, do not put an authorization code on the claim when you submit it. I was told by my rep that the pqc cannot auth a claim if your auth is on the claim. It's not the same as an h-route, where you can put an auth code and it won't hurt.

I recently sent a two page letter to WD&S with regards to the level of service that GM has been providing its' dealers lately, especially through these outsourced organizations. PQC is just another example confirming the contents of that letter. Maybe WD&S can post it to your emails. I surely didn't think that I was the only one receiving this shabby service.

So far my experience with the PQC has been nearly flawless, we have submitted 5 claims with no problems. I only wish that the GM technical assistance folks were as easy to deal with.

Did you know that on transmission and engine claims P.Q.C. authorizes unlimited OLH. If you have you labor operations together when you call they have been very generous with the OLH that they have ok'd for me. 6.8 hrs OLH on the last engine claim. No rep involved...
