I've recently completed a second book on Automotive Parts Management to be published approximately February, 2000 by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE, International.) These products have been well received in both the aftermarket and dealer franchise parts industries.
I'm now considering proposing a similar product to SAE for Service Managers. While I do have specific material (personnel management, customer managment, and facilities management) targeted for the manuscript, your input would add considerable value resulting in a better product.
My questions are these: First, do you feel a book on Service Management would be beneficial? Yes or No. And, if you feel it would, do you have any particular topics in mind, either related to the material mentioned or otherwise, that you feel should be included? Keep in mind, as you answer the second question, that any suggestions for topics must be relevant to all service managers regardless of types of vehicles serviced.
