Beepers

Beepers

After reading an article a long while back about a dealership that was using beepers to notify their service customers when their vehicle was completed or to contact the customer for approvals, we decided to implement the same system. Well we have met with minimal success. If other dealers are doing this successfully and we are not it indicates that something must be wrong with our implementation. Is anybody else doing this if so do you have any pointers on how to make it work?

Beepers

I tried using beepers in 1987 in a 49 man Cadillac shop. It runed out the successes we had were from customers who wanted to be beeped at a certain time to impress their friends. Beepers were not as common then as they are now.

In our dealership, we use beepers for the 5 advisors, foreman, service amanger and myself. Takes about 30 seconds to get the message. this custs down on a hold lot of pages. Makes are neighbors much happier.
