Doll up flat rate hours

Doll up flat rate hours

Postby gordyw » Wed Sep 17, 2003 6:53 am

I am looking for flat rate times for doll up personnel for most common functions.

1)Wash/wax for delivery
2)Wash/wax/windows/vac
3)Full Doll
4)Mini Doll or Auction Doll

We are planning to put doll up/clean up on flat rate for both internal work as well as doing customer pay doll up/clean up which we never have done in the past.

Doll up flat rate hours

For a good back ground story, I'd suggest you read this from the archives:

Pay Plans for Detailers

(ps. if it asks for user/password they are dealersedge/password)

But I figure you want how many horus should it pay. Personally I've always worked from price backwards and then tweaked it over the first few months from there. So if a service is $45 retail, it would pay an hour flat rate (if that is what my body shop labor rate is). Sometimes on new offerings you might need to do some competitive survey digging to get the right numbers.

Other than that here are my best guesses if I had to plug a number in today:

1).4
2).7
3)2.2
4).9

Of course what you include in each of the services is really going to sway those numbers. For instance, I know many detailers that will include carpet painting/dye and minor paint/dent work in a full detail.

That's how we do it too, from privce back. If you are lucky, you can add in something for 061D as well.
