We are a small dealer in the northeast...5 techs. Our rep says our brake pad warranty 18,000 miles. Rotors are covered for the full 3/36. Every bit of paperwork I have says that the pads are covered for 2/24. I guess what I'm trying to ask is if GM is consistant with there brake warranty everywhere?

This topic just came up a couple of weeks ago at our dealership. As far as my rep was concerned, it is still in affect.

looks like i should make some phone calls then......maybe the general can call back all our customers that paid for pads at 20k and send them a check for reimbursement.

I was told by a GM APM that a signifcant portion of all GM field personnel's pay is performance-based. This person said that one of the ASM's performace measurements is warranty expense. Sounds like this ASM is sacrificing customer satisfaction to earn a paycheck.

true the reps pay is based on warranty numbers the less the more for him, but if they find out the warranty clerk is paid of warranty numbers the higher the more for that person thats not fair in their eyes?
oh did i say that "lol"
