GM dealer

Such as fixed coverage, ours = 58.8%
GM statement, page 6, line 62

Gross labor profit, as a percent of sales, ours = 66.83%
Mechanical operating summary, line 26
I believe these numbers are too low.
What do you think?

We are import so things are a bit different but I think the Gross labor profit is low.

To many "A" tech's and not enough "C or D" tech's? Or are the job's not being dispatched to the correct tech's?

MovingForward,

You raise an important observation.

I realize it will vary from market to market but what is an average pay rate for A, B, C, D techs?

In our area it varies greatly from store to store. I know "A" tech's as high as $25/hour and I know "D" tech's as low as $14/hour.

My store my highest paid "A" is $21 and my lowest paid "D" is $17.

Our door rate is $95.00
