Customer Service Washes

Postby andigold2 » Thu Jun 14, 2001 12:09 pm

We are having a difficult time washing service customers vehicles when they are in for any type of service work. We don't have enough room for additional prep people and the washes take too long and come out awful causing complaints. Should we stop the customer car washes (they are free) or charge for them and if we stop them, what effect will it have?

Customer Service Washes

2 thoughts I will leave you with. First, when I started managing this store, CSI was in the dumps. One thing we are now doing, among others, is washing service vehicles. I have seen many CSI surveys returned with comments about the wash when in for service. i am sure other things we are doing helped, but from the surveys I have seen, this is the most prominent comment. As for how the vehicle looks after washing, we use a water purification system which includes an in bay pressure washer and a portable pressure washer we threw in the back of an old truck. It is a spotless wash system and works very well. Certainly worth the investment. Feel free to email for more information. (warr_wiz@hotmail.com)
