I HAVE A POWER STRG WHINE ON A 04 CADILAC SRX. IT WILL ONLY WHINE ON A COLD START FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES, THEN AS THE ENGINE WARMS IT GOES AWAY. PREVIOUS ATTEMPTED REPAIRS INCLUDE REPL THE POWER STRG PUMP AND REPL THE STRG FLUID WITH GM'S COLD CLIMATE SYNTHETIC FLUID. BOTH REPAIRS SOLVED NOTHING. GM TECH CENTER HAS NO OTHER CALLS ON THIS PROBLEM--SO NO FIX?? THIS CUSTOMER IS ON MY ASS AND DEMANDS A FIX.
HAS ANYBODY EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM, OR HAVE IDEAS???

Try LubeGard P/S Conditioner. Go to there website www.lubegard.com and check the testimonials. Some NAPA stores carry the product or you can order direct from the website. There are other additives out there, but this seemds to be the best.
